RECHOBOTH BAPTIST CHURCH…. even the name suggests a fresh, new beginning. In Genesis 26, Isaac had reopened his father Abraham's old wells that had been filled with earth by the Philistines. However, the Philistines claimed them as their own. So, Isaac went to a place where water was more difficult to find and dug a new well. He named the well in the Hebrew tongue "Rechoboth" (ree-ko-buth) meaning, * "God has made a place and provision for us." ( ree-ko-buth )
That is what Rechoboth Baptist Church is all about. We are digging new wells and providing fresh, living water to the thirsty hearts of Soddy-Daisy.
Our days have been filled with tremendous joy and excitement as we have watched God miraculously bring us from where we were to where we are today. Our tomorrows, by faith in His wonderful grace, will be filled with a glory yet unseen in our generation.
