Pastor Alan Stewart has served as Senior Pastor of Rechoboth Baptist since December 1999.  He attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Moody Bible Institute, Covington Theological Seminary, and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.  Born in Johnson City, Tennessee and raised here in Soddy Daisy, Pastor Alan has been married to Jeanne since 1988.  They are blessed with two wonderful children, daughter Sierra (1995), and son Seth (1997).
Pastor Alan came to know Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at age 10.  He understood his call to preach the gospel during a sacred moment alone with the Lord.  He preached his first sermon in 1985.  During his first fifteen years of ministry, Pastor Alan served as an evangelist.  He still possesses the zeal of an evangelist and longs to experience the kind of revival that is only read about in the history books today.  His heart was touched for missions during a 2004 crusade in India in which over 4,800 people came to know Christ.
Pastor Alan is committed to faithfully and fearlessly delivering God’s Word in a manner that is both timely and relevant.  His messages blend accurate Biblical context, engaging illustrations to illuminate truth, practical application, and understood layman’s terms.  His love for writing led him to begin writing the program and curriculum for our annual Vacation Bible School.  Since beginning in 2009, we have seen a 400% increase of children coming to know Christ.
On the side, Pastor Alan loves sports, having played baseball, basketball, football, and tennis during his youth.  One of the greatest thrills from his childhood was serving as an Atlanta Braves batboy during four summers.  While he plays on our church softball team, Pastor Alan gets more joy out of watching his children play and compete today.
Pastor Alan’s life verse is John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.”

MIranda Majors - Mother's Day Out Director

Miranda Major's has been the  Mother's Day Out program director since starting the program September 2011. Currently I reside in Sale Creek with my husband and 3 beautiful girls. Rechoboth Baptist Church has been an awesome church to raise our family in. I volunteer in the nursery, children's church, VBS, and anywhere else I'm able to. I was raised in the Soddy Daisy area. So it's been great being able to work and worship in this same place, seeing all the friends and family I know. Along with new ones I've grown to enjoy and love.
